This year the Faculty of Law celebrates 101 years with a special Centenary Reunion weekend jam-packed with a host of activities to ensure that you – our alumni – can celebrate this momentous occasion with us.
While the Ou Hoofgebou (Old Main Building) was originally inaugurated in 1886 as the main building of the Victoria College; the Faculty of Law was established in 1921 and remains the intellectual home of many judges, advocates, attorneys, captains of industry, business leaders, politicians, and academics.
We invite you to return to your intellectual home and reminisce about your student days, participate in discussions regarding current issues and hear from to esteemed speakers. Your participation will further the Faculty of Law’s endeavour to remain at the cutting edge of legal developments whilst maintaining sound relations with, and between, our alumni.
Some of the events to look forward to include Silver (25 year) and Gold (50 year) reunion activities (with reference to 2021 and 2022), decade reunion events, a public lecture and book launch, followed by a Town Hall dinner that will conclude the festivities. Click here for a detailed outline of events attached.
RSVP: Send an email to alumni@sun.ac.za.
We look forward to welcoming you back to your Faculty.
