Die Universiteit Stellenbosch se Afdeling Ontwikkeling en Alumnibetrekkinge en die Fakulteit Natuurwetenskappe nooi u vriendelik uit jou ons eerste wetenskapskafee vir 2021.

COVID-variante, entstowwe en Afrika se openbare gesondheidsektor, in gesprek met Prof Tulio de Oliveira.

Prof De Oliveira is ‘n bioinformatikus en direkteur van die KZN Research Innovation and Sequencing Platform (KRISP) by die Universiteit van KwaZulu-Natal. Sy identifisering van ‘n nuwe variant van SARS-CoV-2 in Suid-Afrika het aanleiding gegee tot die ontdekking van nuwe variante in die res van die wêreld.

Die gesprek sal gelei word deur Prof Hugh Patterton, Direkteur van die Sentrum vir Bioinformatika en Berekeningsbiologie by die Universiteit Stellenbosch.
