You are warmly invited to the launch of our Maties Wine Club in Gauteng. Here you will have the opportunity to engage with various winemakers and owners of wine estates in the Stellenbosch area, as well as other wine-producing regions of South Africa. Come and share and relive memories of Stellenbosch as we listen to icons of industry whilst sipping some of our favourite South African wines.
For our first online wine experience of the year, we have teamed up with Kleine Zalze — Platter’s wine guide’s Top Performing Winery of the Year for 2021. With a winemaking philosophy focused on passion, patience and balance, it is no wonder that Kleine Zalze is at the forefront of premium wine production in South Africa. We are honoured to welcome cellarmaster Alastair Rimmer and winemaker RJ Botha to share their knowledge and stories with us as we taste through their three-tiered approach to Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is no secret that wine is best paired with great company, but we also suggest preparing some crackers, olives and cheese to further enhance your online wine experience.
Our specially curated case includes a bottle each of the Cellar Selection, Vineyard Selection and Family Reserve Chenin blanc as well as a bottle each of the Cellar Selection, Vineyard Selection and Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. As an added bonus you will receive the pre-release Family Reserve vintages that received the famed 5-star rating in the recent Platter’s guide. We suggest opening the wines 20 minutes before the tasting and also remember to ensure that you’re enjoying your wines at the correct temperature.
