You are warmly invited to the first Maties Wine Club online wine tasting for 2023. Let’s meet up with fellow Maties in Europe, share memories of Stellenbosch and listen to icons of the wine industry whilst sipping some of our favourite South African wines.
For our first wine experience of the year, we have teamed up with the famous Kleine Zalze wine estate, just outside Stellenbosch. With a winemaking philosophy that focuses on producing the best quality grapes in the vineyard, it is no surprise that Kleine Zalze was named Top performing Winery of the Year by the Platter’s SA wine guide in 2020. In the spirit of International Women’s Month, we are honoured to welcome winemakers Lizemari Geldenhuys and Hanri Ferreira to share their knowledge and stories as we taste the Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon from Kleine Zalze’s three different wine ranges: Cellar Selection, Vineyard Selection and the Family Reserve Selection.
Our longstanding partner, Capreo Wine Distributors, will ensure that your wine package is delivered to your doorstep within three to five working days. For each package sold, Capreo will donate R50 towards the Stellenbosch University Bursary Fund.
We have two curated packages available — a standard package (CLICK HERE) and a premium package (CLICK HERE). The standard package includes the Cellar and Vineyard Selection Chenin Blanc and the Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, whilst our premium package contains the full selection that will be tasted on the evening. We suggest opening the wines 20 minutes before the tasting and remember to ensure that you’re enjoying your wines at the correct temperature.
Terms and conditions
The cost of the standard and premium wine packages includes shipping. The cost of the package depends on the country from where it is ordered.
