Midmar Mile 2022

12 February 2022 @ 9:00 am - 13 February 2022 @ 2:00 pm

  • « Europe: Winter networking event
  • Pretoria: Golf day at Wingate Country Club »

We challenge you to take on the open waters during the 2022 edition of the aQuellé Midmar Mile in support of our Stellenbosch University Annual Fund, Bridge the Gap.

The aQuellé Midmar Mile offers swimmers of all ages and abilities an opportunity to be part of the biggest open-water swim in the world, completing a distance from one side of this KwaZulu-Natal dam to the other. This year’s dates have been set – Saturday, 12 February and Sunday, 13 February for the elite swimmers, with the charity events taking place on Thursday, 10 February and Friday, 11 February.

Be part of this popular event dating back to 1974, while competing in support of a worthy cause, Bridge the Gap. If you have an entry, please contact us and we will provide you with tools to help you get started with fundraising and assistance from our peer-to-peer fundraiser who will serve as your fundraising guide.

Bridge the Gap invites alumni, the student community, staff, parents, and friends of the University to support our students in overcoming the financial obstacles blocking their path to success. The aim is to close the gap between talent and financial need and make a tangible difference in the lives of Matie students.

Do you accept the challenge?

For more information visit www.midmarmile.co.za. And do contact Siya Ndlovu at ndlovus@sun.ac.za to find out more about how to fundraise for Bridge the Gap.
