The Breede River Alumni Hub and Stellenbosch University’s Development and Alumni Relations Division, are launching a network for all our outstanding Matie women from Tulbagh to McGregor. Please join us for the official launch of the Stellenbosch Women Alumnae Network (SWAN) in the Breede River region.
SWAN aims to bring together women graduates through mentorship programmes, leadership training, round-table discussions and many more to enable networking among diverse groups of women in a variety of industries — and, of course, we want to have fun along the way!
Join our guest speaker, Leonora van Tonder from Spicy Apples, who is an inspiring Matie in her own right. From her love of cooking, teaching and serving others, Leonora started her catering service — Spicy Apples — in 2007.
Join her for an day of food demonstrations and motivational conversation, where you will learn the following:
- To prepare Labneh with Fried Chickpeas.
- Quick ideas with store-bought tart cases.
- How to make Bacon Jam and where else you can use it.
- How to roll Rice Paper Spring Rolls.
- How to make Salsa Verde.
- Making your own Tacos.
- Making an ideal Christmas gift — White Chocolate and Turkish Delight Rocky Road.
