Ons is seker julle het almal daarna uitgesien om ons jaarlikse Tuiskoms-en-Familienaweek in Matieland saam met ons te kom vier, maar COVID-19 met sy vele golwe het ongelukkig ‘n stokkie voor ons planne gesteek. Vir almal se veiligheid het die Afdeling Ontwikkeling en Alumnibetrekkinge besluit om vanjaar se Tuiskoms 2021 aanlyn aan te bied. Maar moenie bekommerd wees nie! Ons bring steeds diaardie kenmerkende Matie-gees, terwyl jy
pasgemaakte geleenthede in die gemak van jou eie huis kan geniet. Sien dit as jou kans om aanlyn te gaan en tyd met die res van jou Matie-familie deur te bring, waar ook al hulle hulself in hierdie wêreld bevind.

Jy kan kies om ‘n 5 km, 10 km of 20 km op jou geselekteerde roete oral in die wêreld te hardloop. Oorweeg dit om vir elke kilometer wat jy hardloop of stap ’n skenking aan ons Jaarfonds, Bridge the Gap (Oorbrug die Gaping) te maak. Jy kan op Strava registreer (klik hier) en so jou vordering op jou roete met ons deel. Daar is ook lekker pryse op die spel vir diegene wat die beste tye in hul onderskeie kategorieë behaal.

Light your braai fires! On Friday, 24 September from 11:30 to 13:00, we’re teaming up with the Breederiver Alumni Hub to host a virtual Braai Day Masterclass with alumnus Jan Braai. This will be a great opportunity to converse with the braai master himself, learn how to make a new braai dish, and engage with fellow alumni online. We will send you a special invitation listing the ingredients that you will need to cook with us. You’ll also receive step-by-step instructions of how to prepare the meal alongside Jan Braai, in the comfort of your own home. Do tune in for an afternoon of good wine, delicious food and wonderful conversation.
