Cape Town Cycle Tour Expo & hospitality tent

Maties staff and students are excited to welcome you to our stand at the Cape Town Cycle Tour Expo located in the charity lane once you’ve registered. Once you’ve collected your race number, race pack and checked your timing chip is working at one of RaceTec’s stands, move on through the souvenir section on to Africa’s biggest cycling Expo. Do come and say hallo at our SU #Move4Food stand. There’ll be a range of goodies and Maties Alumni merchandise up for grabs or you can simply gear down for a chat.

The Expo takes place at the Cape Town Stadium on these days:

  • Thursday, 5 March: 09h30 to 19h00
  • Friday, 6 March: 09h00 to 19h00
  • Saturday, 7 March: 09h00 to 16h00

Support Stellenbosch University’s #Move4Food Charity Fundraising campaign

During or after the race, you can show your support for our #Move4Food champion cyclists. These ambassadors need your encouragement all the way to the finish line and at our stand you’ll be able to hear what #Move4Food is all about.

We’ll also like to congratulate you and find out the time in which you completed the 109km! So, after the race, you will find us in the hospitality tent (9:00 — 16:00) on the fields off Vlei Road, Green Point.

Bring your support crew along — your family and friends – to meet our #Move4Food cyclists, including the Rector and Vice-Chancellor, Prof Wim de Villiers and Chancellor, Justice Edwin Cameron and share your impressions of the day via #MatiesIDidIt! with us. There’ll be refreshments on offer and you can indulge in the luxury of a well-deserved post event sports massage.

We look forward to see you at the 42nd  occasion running of this wonderful, world-famous cycling tour!
