Join us as we unpack everyday topics in ‘Adulting 101’ – from how to file your tax return to how to network meaningfully. The ‘How to’ series is presented by our very own alumni. There is no need to go it alone. Connect, engage, and be inspired to achieve even more. A new episode is released on Maties Connect the last Thursday of every month. Each month an alumnus will give tips and tricks on how to grow professionally, financially, and personally. In the first episode, Bobby Wessels – one of our very own alumnus – shares important tips on how to do your taxes. Get your pens and notebooks ready as you listen to our first event.

The Stellenbosch University Young Alumni Programme (YAP)
The Stellenbosch University Young Alumni Programme
YAP, launched in August 2021, is designed to connect graduates with one another and to establish a perennial relationship between graduates and their alma mater. Through networking opportunities and career development programmes, graduates are supported by, and connected to, each other and influential alumni. With such a rich and influential global Matie network, we want to create opportunities that lead to you having your first job, your second job, and help you achieve entrepreneurial growth.
YAP how to podcast
When you left university, did you also wish for a repository where you could find all ‘Adulting 101’ information? We have created just the platform for that!
Our How-to Podcast includes many episodes on all topics related to being a young working adult or postgraduate student. On the last Thursday of every second month, alumni share tips and tricks on how to grow professionally, financially, and personally.
Now that you’ve entered the world of work, are you looking for ways to advance your career? In the second edition of the World of Work Week, we will focus on topics relevant to young working professionals.
