Francois van Coke, winemakers at Maties Soireé

Are you ready for some toe-tapping and hip-swinging music on a Spring Friday afternoon? Then book your tickets for the Maties Soireé taking place on Friday, 9 September at 14:00 at the Alumni Clubhouse at Die Stal, Coetzenburg.

The Maties Soireé brings together a selection of Matie winemakers including Tokara, De Grendel, La Motte, Paul Cluver, Cederberg, and more, for a tasting of their finest produce. For those preferring something non-alcoholic, The Raw Berry Press will be on hand to serve up some of their top-quality cold-pressed juices. While you mingle with both familiar and new faces, you’ll be treated to an evening of first-class entertainment by acclaimed musician, Francois van Coke.

Close your eyes and imagine spring in the Boland, the smells of food wafting through the air, and the very best company … Now gather your friends and make that vision a reality.

  • To secure your place, book your ticket now at https://bit.ly/3vMge5J. Tickets cost R150 per person and include a special limited edition glass and tasting coupon.

This event forms part of the University’s annual Homecoming weekend for alumni taking place from Thursday 8 September to Saturday 10 September on the Stellenbosch and Tygerberg campuses.  You can expect all sorts of social networking events, campus tours, a business breakfast, sporting activities and reunions throughout the weekend.
