Career development and career growth: winning strategies

2 August @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

  • « Gansbaai Alumni Chapter presents
  • Maximising the impact of educators with limited resources »

Stellenbosch University’s Development and Alumni Relations Division warmly invites you to our World of Work Week — our annual career development event for young alumni. World of Work Week is a “town-hall” styled career discourse event where young alumni can ask alumni experts and industry pioneers questions, share their opinions, and challenge the current trajectory of the world of work.

Ultimately, this discourse aims to assist you in assessing your current career path and influence you to build a path for success.

For this week-long series, we have chosen four exciting topics.

Career development and career growth: winning strategies
As a young graduate there is no amount of preparation that prepares you for the competitive business environment. While there is no “right” way to create a meaningful career, there are a few winning strategies that you can adopt for your career development and career growth. Our speakers will share their own experience and advice on career development and career growth in a multifaceted business environment.

Date: Tuesday, 2 August 2022
Time: 18:00 – 19:30
Where: Online
Speakers: The Chairperson of the Economic Management Sciences Student Committee, Karabo Mogashoa will be in conversation with alumna Prof Rachel Jafta, Professor of Economics at Stellenbosch University, and Ms Terry Volkwyn, CEO of PRIMEDIA Broadcasting
