Are you up for the challenge?
Dust off those running shoes and inspire some hope while you’re at it! On Sunday, 13 June 2021, the Comrades Marathon is going virtual yet again, and your alma mater would like YOU to get in on the action. We would like you to enter the #ComradesCentenaryHopeChallenge in support of our student-led #Move4Food campaign to curb student hunger.
Not knowing where the next meal will come from is a reality for many South Africans, including our students at Stellenbosch University (SU). The bleak reality is that a lack of access to affordable and nutritious food on South African campuses is rife and SU is no exception. Your support of the #Move4Food campaign not only touches our students’ lives every day, it’s also a powerful and exemplary demonstration of your commitment to transforming the lives of young people.
The #ComradesCentenaryHopeChallenge kicks off any time between 00:01am and 23:59pm on the actual challenge date. You could choose to run a 5km, 10km, 21.1km, 45km or 90km, along your selected route anywhere in the world. The challenge forms part of the Comrades Marathon Association Centenary Celebrations inspiring hope for the fight against COVID-19.
