Let us support Allan Boyle’s 10 000 m challenge

We have an exciting opportunity for our Maties in Ireland to change the lives of young South Africans who face an alarming 64% unemployment rate. I am reaching out to you with an impassioned plea to support our fellow alumnus, Allan Boyle, as he nears the end of his daunting challenge of 2023. Allan has set himself the difficult task of climbing 10 000 metres and raising €10 000 in support of postgraduate bursaries in Data Science and Computational Thinking at Stellenbosch University (SU) and ensuring a brighter future for our talented youth.

Allan’s fundraising initiative is all about giving young South Africans a fair shot at success in a digital age. By backing Allan, we can equip deserving individuals with the education and skills they need to thrive in an increasingly tech-driven world. With your support, we can provide students with the required resources to pursue postgraduate studies at our beloved SU, opening doors to fulfilling employment opportunities.

Together, we can shape a brighter future for South Africa. As proud fellow alumni let us show our unity and support this worthy cause. No matter the amount, your donation will create waves of change and help deserving individuals contribute to our society’s growth and prosperity.

Let us help Allan to achieve his target of raising €10 000.

Allan has committed himself to matching every euro donated, that is euro for euro, up to the equivalent of €5 000. That means if together we can donate a total amount of €5 000, Allan will match that amount and the total funds raised will be €10 000. So far, more than €2 000 has been donated, which Allan has already matched. So, could we all please give to get to that balance of €3 000?

Please have a look at Allan’s fundraising initiative to see how you can assist by clicking on https://www.kindlink.com/fundraising/Stellenbosch-University-SA-Foundation-UK/saltwater.

Let us stand together as the alumni family and make a lasting impact.
