Come wine with us in Germany

28 May 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

  • « Maties in the UK Virtual Meet-up
  • Come wine with us »

You are warmly invited to our second Maties Wine Club virtual wine tasting for 2021. For this wine experience, we have teamed up with the famed Franschhoek valley wine estate, La Motte.

This picturesque estate boasts a fusion of historic charm and tranquil gardens, with traditional cuisine offerings and internationally acclaimed wines that embody the pursuit of the finer things in life. We are honoured to welcome cellarmaster Edmund Terblanche to share his knowledge and stories with us as we taste through a selection of his beloved wines: the La Motte Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Franschhoek Chardonnay 2018, Pierneef Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Franschhoek Syrah 2017, Pierneef Syrah-Viognier 2017 and ending off with the delectable Millennium. It is no secret that wine is best paired with great company, but we also suggest preparing crackers, olives and cheese to further enhance your online wine experience.

We have partnered with Capreo Wine Distributors who will ensure that your wine package is delivered to your doorstep within three to five working days. For each wine package sold, Capreo will donate R50 towards SU’s Bursary Fund.

We have two curated packages available — a standard package (CLICK HERE) and a premium package (CLICK HERE). The standard package includes the La Motte Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Franschhoek Chardonnay 2018 and Millennium, whilst our premium package contains the full selection that will be tasted on the evening. We suggest opening the wines 20 minutes before the tasting.
