Let’s take on the joBerg2c

22 April @ 6:00 am - 30 April @ 5:00 pm

  • « Spring networking in Europa
  • Join our teams in Belgium »

Calling all our mountain bike enthusiasts! Join us for the joBerg2c mountain bike adventure taking place from Friday, 22 April to Saturday, 30 April 2022.

Just imagine … nine glorious days of escaping the ordinary to tackle the extraordinary. JoBerg2c is a 900km, 9-day, mountain bike adventure across four provinces of South Africa, passing through 220 private farms. You’ll start 85km south of Johannesburg and finish in Scottburgh on the south coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Apart from the adrenalin of the ride, you’ll get to experience that unique community spirit from village to village. This race, in its 11th year of existence, usually brings together international and local riders who get the opportunity to discover our incredible country.

Challenge yourself even further and take on this ride in support of your alma mater’s Bridge the Gap campaign. Bridge the Gap is Stellenbosch University’s (SU) annual fundraising campaign that invites alumni, the student community, staff, parents, and friends of the University to support SU students in overcoming the financial obstacles blocking their path to success. Our students are at the heart of all that we do, so each year we work with our university community to identify priority initiatives to help them succeed. The aim of this campaign is to close the gap between talent and financial need and to make a tangible difference in the lives of Matie students.

If you have an entry or are considering taking part, please contact us and we will provide you with all the tools to help you get started on your fundraising journey. You can also count on assistance from our Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Coordinator, Siya Ndlovu, who is ready to support you every step of the way.

Are you interested in becoming involved? Please contact Siya at ndlovus@sun.ac.za to find out more about how to fundraise for Bridge the Gap.
