You are warmly invited to a special online wine tasting hosted by the Maties Wine Club for our Alumni in the Southern Suburbs, City Bowl, Atlantic Seaboard and False Bay. We have partnered with our local Maties Chapters to launch the Wine Club in your region as an opportunity to engage with various winemakers and owners of wine estates in the Stellenbosch area, as well as other wine-producing regions of South Africa. Come and share and relive memories of Stellenbosch as we listen to icons of industry whilst sipping some of our favourite South African wines.
For our first online wine experience of the year, we have teamed up with Bosman Family Vineyards — the esteemed 8th generation wine estate in Wellington. With an estate motto “Faith, Hope and Love” and a winemaking philosophy focused on innovation and sustainability, it is no wonder that Bosman’s wines have become synonymous with premium South African wine production.
We are honoured to welcome winemaker Natasha Williams who will be sharing her knowledge and stories with us as we taste through a selection of her prized wines: the Bosman Upper Hemel-and-Aarde Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Pinot Gris 2020, Adama White Blend 2020, Twyfeling Cinsaut 2019, Adama Red Blend 2019 and ending off with the delectable Nero 2018. It is no secret that wine is best paired with great company, but we also suggest preparing some crackers, olives and cheese to further enhance your online wine experience. We suggest opening the wines 20 minutes before the tasting and to also ensure that you are enjoying your wines at the correct temperature.
We have two options available for this specially curated wine experience. The standard tasting package includes the Upper Hemel-and-Aarde Sauvignon Blanc, Adama White and Adama Red Blends, whilst the premium package contains all six wines that will be tasted.
