Our Johannesburg Chapter is driven by a young and vibrant committee of volunteers who are passionate about building the Maties network. The Chapter stretches from Sedibeng, the West Rand, and Ekurhuleni to the City of Johannesburg. The team have put together a full programme of activities for 2023.

• Monday 13 March – It is Varsity Cup time, so come and support the Maroon Machine! Match day for the Wits vs Maties Varsity Cup Rugby game. Remember to wear your maroon. All proceeds go to SU’s Bridge the Gap Annual Fund.
• Friday 17 March – Our SWANs are all set for a Sip-and-Paint Get-together. Do not miss out.
• Wednesday 24 May – Tee-off! It is time for our annual Gauteng Maties Golf Day at the Rand Park Golf Club.
• June – Of course, we have planned a networking event for our young alumni under 35. It is Youth Month, after all.
• Saturday 12 August – Come, let us cook up a storm. Join our SWAN networking cooking class.
