#SciMathus: Closing the gender gap in STEM*

Underrepresentation of women in the scientific arena is correlated with limited access to good science and mathematics education. The SciMathUS university preparation programme has over the past 20 years provided many young women with an opportunity to reinvent themselves, build a solid foundation for entry into higher education and provide them with the skills not only to succeed at university, but in their career and personal development as well.

Stories of women such as Dr Pumza Ghu, Dr Matlakala Ntsapi and Modesty Lewis are but a few that continue to inspire us.

With your help SciMathUS can create more opportunities for young women to reach their full academic potential and become economically active citizens contributing to the knowledge economy.  Help us build a critical mass of highly skilled female professionals in science, engineering, technology, medicine and business sciences in our country.

All charitable donations to SciMathUS are eligible for a tax benefit and you will be provided with a section 18A receipt/tax certificate.
